The Gap Photo Contest was called the Gap Casting Call and it was an annual contest that used to accept several months each year.  At one time it was just as popular as The Gerber Baby Contest!

Unfortunatly, the Gap has not operated a Childrens Photo Contest for several years.

Things you need to know about the Gap Photo Contest!

Entries are submitted directly on the Gap Casting Call Website, during the active submission period. Parents and guardians are invited to enter their children by uploading a recent picture. If you miss the announcement and don’t enter your picture on time you’re out of luck- that’s why it’s important to sign up for Baby Contest News – they provide updates and notifications for all of the best Baby Contests.

The Gap Casting Call – Photo Contest is for children from birth to age 12  Pictures for the Gap Casting Call contest can  be submitted for any child from one day old through 12 years old.  They must be the appropriate age during the contest period to qualify.  If your child is older 12 they can not enter.

If  your child is older than 12,  they can still enter The Cute Kid Contest.

All photos for the contest have to be taken within 30 days of submission – Pictures needed to be current.  Even if you have the perfect picture of your child today, it won’t help you win the Gap Casting Call photo contest.  These rules are strict and if your picture is chosen as one of the winners you could have to provide documentation that the picture was taken within the required time frame.

Photo Contest  Rules  – Preferred photos are full body shots of the child only – no other people or animals should be shown on the picture.  No brand or logos can be shown on clothing.  Photograph size may not be greater than 10 MB. Photograph must be in .jpg, .gif or .png format.  You need to own the rights to the photo which means that if you submit a professional photograph, you need to own the rights.  You can not edit or modify the photo prior to submission. The Gap Casting Call holds contests for several countires.  Contests are held for the United States, Canada, French Canada, UK and Ireland and Japan.

Gap Casting Call 2016 Winner

You can only enter 1 picture of each of your children in the contest.  The rule here is simple.  You can only submit one photo per child.  Each photo can only be submitted for consideration within one of the six milestone categories. You can’t submit photos of the same child to multiple categories.  If you are interested in submitting multiple photos you may want to check out the Cute Kid Contest.   

There were 4 Grand Prize Winners  in the 2016 Gap Casting Call Photo Contest – each prize has an estimated value of $5,750.   The prizes include all costs associated with a round trip for the winning child an one parent to New York City.  While in New York the winners participate in a professional photo shoot and are provided with spending expenses.
