The baby contest winners for this years Cute Kid Contest seem to be holding the same trends as  Gerber’s Baby Contest winners, however there is one additional trait that also dominates these pictures.  The subject matter, in this case a cute baby’s face fills the frame.  From a photography standpoint this is a useful techniques that helps to define the subject and eliminates any distractions from the background, foreground etc.  The judges apparantly like this strategy based on the large number of pictures that have been selected over the years where the “subject fills the frame.” Use this information when you submit your photo to the Cute Kid Contest   It might just help your child become the next baby photo contest winner.
